About the course

Studying Psychology at Swansea University provides expert scientific training in the interplay between mind, brain, and behaviour. You will explore psychological and neuroscientific processes underlying thinking, reasoning, memory, language, brain injury effects, and strategies to enhance health-related behaviours. The programme fosters strong research, writing, critical analysis, numeracy, and ICT skills, while our teaching methods—encompassing lectures, personal tutorials, seminars, workshops, and practical research classes—promote effective teamwork and oral communication. Our School of Psychology enjoys an outstanding UK and international reputation, with 100% of its impact rated internationally excellent in REF2021, reflecting a robust culture of translating research into real-world applications. BPS-validated, the course qualifies graduates achieving at least a 2:2 for BPS Graduate Membership and Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC), the initial step toward chartered psychologist status. A year abroad between years two and three expands global perspectives via diverse partner institutions; for details, contact study@swansea.ac.uk.
